Gone Fishin...

One of Lexi's favorites so far....Maddie fishing for "goldfishies" I had to send her in the kitchen about 5 times before she noticed maddie standing on the counter!

Day Five & Six...

Day 5:
Lexi LOVES to do her baby doll's hair and my hair. Maddie the Elf must have seen her doing this because yesterday when Lexi went into her bathroom she found Maddie and her baby doll, Olivia on the counter doing Olivia's hair! She had the brush, detangler and hair clips out!

That is Olivia (the doll that a TON of strangers mistake for a real baby while it is hanging half way over the grocery cart...haha) and there is Maddie doing her hair!

Morning Mischief

Sunday Morning Lex comes running up the stairs once again laughing hystarically yelling, "Dad! Mom! hurry come down stairs, but don't look in the kitchen yet!" So we go down stairs and she makes us close our eyes and walks us in to the kitchen and says, "SURPRISE! Maddie spilled the sugar!" hahaha Looks like she was trying to make a SNOW ANGEL!

Day Two & Three...

On Friday Lexi and I took out all the Christmas Decorations. We started going through boxes and low and behold look who we found hiding in one of the boxes...

Looks like she was trying to take a ride in Santa's sleigh back to the North Pole!

Later on Thanksgiving Night Lexi went to the fridge to get me a bottle of water and this is what her little friend left her...

A Special Book left by the Elf in the Refrigerator!

Lex thought this was the funniest thing ever!! We read her the story and then it was time to name her little magical elf. She chose to name her MADDIE! So that is what we shall call her. After we named her we had to go to a special site to register her so that Santa knew she made it safe to her new home.

The Hunt For Santa's Elf... Day 1

After Lexi received Santa's letter it was time to start looking for this little Elf and the only clue he gave us was that he was some where around Capistrano Beach. Lexi started looking every where around the condo, but no luck. Then we decided to take her down to the tide pools to play and even when we got there she would not stop looking.

Lexi & Papa on the hunt...She went as far as she could go...which was pretty far out there since the tide was -1.5, but all she found was a cute little starfish and a couple crabs. Then Papa and her headed back and that is when she saw what Santa had left her...

Santa's Letter...November.24.2011

On Thanksgiving morning Alexa woke up to Pop Pop sun bathing on the balcony. With Pop Pop was a letter from Santa Claus. She was so SO excited to get a letter from him. In the letter Santa explains to her that he is very busy and needed some help making the naughty and nice list so he sent an Elf to watch her and report back to him. He told her that he is a magic elf and he is hiding somewhere at Capistrano Beach so she needed to go search for him and when she finds him that she can't touch the elf because she will lose her magic. Here is the beginning of a magical friendship between Lexi and her little Elf Friend...

Santa delivered the letter to the one and only Pop Pop while he was Sun bathing on the balcony at the beach!

The Adventures of Maddie the Elf!

Maddie is our new little Elf friend that drops in daily to check on Lexi to see how she is doing and then he reports his findings to Santa. Each day Maddie likes to hide in a new place and can be seen doing many funny things. Although she likes to hide, she also likes to cause some mischief. Maddie's adventures will be documented and photographed here:)
